Are saints ready to bounce back from sundays horror show at Watford?
Saints looked well below there best on saturday, despite the fact it took at scrambled last minute goal to defeat a lack-luster Saints defence, they were well backed up by a superb performance from Kelvin Davis between the sticks.
George Burley has warned his side against complacency.
Saints still have injury woes at the back, only one recognised centre back in the squad leaves saints with a make-shift defence. The defence will be made up of a centre midfield player, a centre back, a left back and a left midfield player.
Rudi Skacel may return, Inigo Idiakez, Mario Licka are both back from injuries, Dyer has shook off a shoulder injury but Jason Euell is out, Bradley Wright-Phillips epected to start and Adam Hammill could make the bench.
Claus Lundekvam and Darren Powell are both still out.
He scored a fantastic goal against Watford, he has recentley found form and looks great, either on the right wing or left wing
Teddy Sheringham looks like he could start, the ancient and very much past it striker could line up alongside Kevin Lisbe.
He will get a very hostile reception, the former Pompey man will get grilled by the St.Marys faithful, like fuller did last time out.
Colchester got a,lucky double over saints last year, but surley that can't happen again.
Colchester have scored more than any other team in the Championship this season, they have scored 11, saints have scored 10, but conceeded less.
Both sides like to attack and can't defend for sugar.
For some reason Andy D'Urso is reffing this game, despite the face Colchester are an Essex team, The Essex Ref is allowed to referee this game. D'Urso has unhappy memories of St.Marys, he once gave a blackburn player 3 yellow cards at St.Marys.
Both teams likes to attack, expect goals. Prediction SOUTHAMPTON 6 COLCHESTER UNITED 2.
Saints will next take on Barnsley at St.Marys, just 3 days after this game.
