Preview-Plymouth v Saints

Saints travel to the West Country in the league for the first time since 1976, when our FA Cup winning side met The Pilgrims in the old Second Divison.

Vital Quotes:

Plymouth Team News:

Influential midfielder Tony Capaldi is suspended after he picked up his fifth booking of the season last weekend.

Akos Buzsaky should recover from an abdominal strain.

West Ham defender Elliott Ward will play, he's just extended his loan at Home Park for another month.

Player to watch: Akos Buzsaky

The Hungarian international should return to action after missing the last three weeks through injury, and will replace Tony Capaldi as the playmaker in the Argyle midfield.

Saints Team News:

George Burley has continued rebuilding this week with a host of players departing to thin out the bloated squad.

The following players have moved on; Rory Delap (Sunderland), Brett Ormerod (Preston), Yoanne Folly (Sheff W loan), Leon Best (Sheff W loan), Matthew Mills (Man City). Nigel Quashie also looks likely to complete his transfer to West Brom today.

Some replacements have also arrived, Jim Brennan and Darren Potter are likely to make their league debuts for The Saints.

New signings Peter Madsen and Alexander Ostlund, did not complete their moves in time to play tonight.

Saints are also without David Prutton who could be sidelined for a month, after sustaining an ankle injury against Leicester. He joins Kosowski (hamstring) and Belmadi (Achilles) on the treatment table.

Player to watch: Kenwyne Jones

Jones scored the winner against Leicester on Saturday with a powerful drive and the Trinidad striker will be looking to impress again if he's rewarded with a start.
