Saints travel to Ashton Gate to take on a Bristol team high on confidence after no home defeats this season.Bristol City are emerging as a surprise package of this Coca-Cola Championship season, City are floating around the top of the table and will be hoping to push on to mount a promotion push, just like the saints are.
The Southampton fans have already sold the original allocation they were given and there has been more seats given, meaning saints will no doubt have an excellent following away from home again.
City have had an extra day to get ready for this game, saints played almost 24 hours later than Bristol, meaning Saints will have to keep fitness levels up and George Burley must make best use of his depleated squad.
George Burley told The Southampton official website: 'They are flying in the league at the moment. They've just got promoted, and have alot of confidence from last season.'
Bristol have no injuries of note, former saints trailee Tamas Vasko looks set for a place on the bench.
The Former Swansea striker csn find the net, lets just hope he can't find the back of Kelvin Davis' net.
Saints without: Claus Lundekvam, Darren Powell, Wayne Thomas, Alexander Ostlund, Chris Makin and Andrew Davies, and thats is just the injured defenders.
Saints are expected to name a Make-shift team yet again, Midfielder Rudi Skacel will play at the back, Centre midfield player Jhon Viafara will play on the right and right winger Nathan Dyer will play on the left wing.
Stern John has 3 goals in 2 games, he can hold up the ball and score goals, he has been working hard with Marek Saganowski to work up a partnership, this is keeping Grzegorz Rasiak, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Jason Euell out of the team.
This is the first time Bristol have played Southampton in the Coca-Cola Championship.
Saints face a tough long away trip to play Burnley away on saturday, this is infront of the Sky Cameras.
