Saints stumble at Bristol City
Attendance: 16, 346
Southampton suffered only their third league defeat of the season at Bristol City.
The Robins extended their unbeaten run to five games as they beat the league leaders 2-0.
It was the leaders who started the game brightly and former England keeper David James had to save smartly to deny Adam Lallana.
The Hampshire outfit continued to dominate at Ashton Gate, but the game was tied at 0-0 after 45 minutes.
Bristol City came out roaring for the second half - and seemed a new side under Scottish boss Derek McInnes.
It took the home side just three minutes after the restart to score their first goal.
Albert Adomah saw his deflected shot fire over Kelvin Davis to score just their eighth goal at Ashton Gate this season.
Just six minutes before the final whistle - Nicky Maynard, a player that has been monitored by Nigel Adkins for a while, scored City's second deflected goal of the afternoon.
Davis was once again rooted to the spot as Maynard's deflected effort looped over the former Sunderland keeper.
