Gillingham maintained their brilliant form against the top sides at home. They have now won 5 and drawn 2 against the top seven sides in the league. In the first half the Gills totally dominated and could have gone in at half-time more than one goal ahead. They scored a second and finally the Saints woke up and came so close to nicking a point. The team selection for Saints just didn't work and I hope that we have a more normal selection in our last game at home to Southend.

That shows how much pressure our defence was under. Maybe they did a little better than we at first thought. Midfield was not much in evidence by all account.

We were under the cosh all the time in first half and for a good bit in the second. So I guess the defence didn't do so bad. Just the rest of the bloody team.
