A slow first half in an even bore. Looked what it was an end of season nothing to play for match. The second half was only slightly better until Southend scored. Saints made more chances and in the end won well enough to send us all home safe in the knowledge that we have a lot to look forward to next season.

We woke up eventually and did enough to win. Not an impressive performance but generally it was in line with our season. Much promise but limited progress. The stats showed an even game control wise though we used our % better. More shots usually means more goals and for that reason I left content after the game. Season of progress and I anticipate even more next.

I was surprised by how quiet it came over on the radio commentary. didn't sound as though the game was played in a party atmosphere I expected.
