The only goal in this evenly fought game came in the 65th minute from the usual Saints tormentor Charlie Austin. The game started with Saints starting brightly but as has been normal of late they were unable to score the goal that they deserved. The first half was edged by the Saints but as the game wore on Swindon came much more into it. Early on Martin had a header smack the crossbar which was a fate to befall Harding later in the game as we tried to earn a point. Not a brilliant game but one which neither team can say they fully deserved to win. Though what might have happened if the first couple of chances that fell to the Saints had managed to find the back of the net. Lack of goal is becoming a serious problem at the moment and is costing us dear. A new manager just might be able to fine tune the team to set the wheels turning on that front.

Lack of goals has cost us relegation twice in recent years so to be concerned is putting it mildly. We have badly missed Adam Lallana and I pray we can get him back soon.
