Southampton ended up as very comfortable winners as the night was lit up by a wonder show from our youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. His pace unsettled the Dagenham defence and he carved out several good opportunities for others as well as scoring two and laying on a third. Four home wins on the trot and we have climbed into the sixth spot with Bournemouth drawing at Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday losing at home to Huddersfield. Good result and performance to boost our hopes for the season.

Reads like we had a good game and for a Tuesday not a bad crowd. Could increase the gate for Shrewsbury.
