Saints were made to work hard and had to wait until the very end to score the elusive goals to secure the win. Adam Lallana was man of the match and by a clear margin. Shrewsbury fought hard to get us back to theirs but were undone by a Connolly moment of anticipation which resulted in him moving first to a rebound and netting the first goal. Lallana capped it seconds later with a lovely curled shot to make the game look easier than it actually was.
