Southampton reverted to a 4-4-2 formation and powered through the Peterborough side which at times looked hopelessly out of touch with the game. Some superb play by the home team led to four goals and a host of missed chances. Man of the match from the fans point of view was Richard Chaplow and this young man has made a fantastic return to Saints on his second spell on loan. He has made the team look more solid and his goal today was well taken to cap a fine performance.

Great game and atmosphere today. Loved the fact Chaplow broke his duck and Dickson was superb today. Overall a much improved performance.
