Southampton totally outplayed Brentford in the first half and could have led at half time by more than the two goals that they scored. Brentford improved in the second half but not enough and even missed a penalty when Kelvin Davis made a great save. This save was made to look even better once Oscar Gobern had notched his first goal and Saints third easing any thoughts of a late battle to keep the points.

Sounded like a great first half which for us is a bit of an oddity this season. One win now from our next two games has to put the shine back and lift us back to the CCC.

We won the match at the off with the way we went at them. More of the same please at Plymouth.
