The game began with Cardiff looking the more dangerous. Saints slowly worked their way into the match but Cardiff scored the first goal in the 36th minute through a shot from Conway. Saints tried to counter but Cardiff held strong until the break and at half time just about deserved to be in the ascendency. The second half began with Saints starting to exert more pressure and slowly Cardiff were pushed further back. Saints equaliser came from the penalty spot after some good work from Lallana won Saints won the spot kick for a handball offence. Lambert duly put the ball away by smashing it straight down the middle of the goal. Saints applied more and more pressure with Cardiff making the occasional break but couldn't find a winner. FT 1-1 with Saints a tad unfortunate.

It wasn't an easy game as Cardiff are technically good and organised. I thought we had a few penalty shouts and played well, particularly in the second half. Lee played well when he came on and Lallana looked like he was getting back to his best. 1-1 was probably a fair result - we were lucky that West Ham lost too! COYR!

Another game where we didn't take enough chances to have a shot.We seem to want to walk the ball in more and more but some good signs of recovery showing with wat we played second half.
