Comments...
In a tense game played in a snow storm both sides showed a fair amount of attacking intent. Birmingham started the livelier but after 15 minutes Southampton began to take control. After the break the home side again began well and Davis had one really good save to make before Saints again to look the more accomplished side in the conditions. An even game with both sides probably accepting the draw as a fair result.

It was good to see Billy Sharp in the second half. I think Punch had a good game and kept working for the team.

Whole team had to work hard against the blues and they always seemed able to find a body when needed.
